Antipodes Theatre Company

Putting diversity centre stage

Antipodes Theatre Company presents the stories of diverse and marginalised communities.

At least half of all roles – on stage and off – are filled by ethnically-diverse artists, people with disabilities, trans and non-binary people, women or seniors.

These inclusion quotas give audiences authentic insights into lives and experiences beyond their own. Each production aims to inspire self-reflection in theatre-goers and, ultimately, deeper human connections.

PUSH Collective was asked to rebrand Antipodes to capture that magic, and to challenge people to step outside their comfort zone and into performance spaces.

As part of the project, I developed a tagline, tone of voice and creative executions for their three distinct types of communications: individual shows/theatre seasons/brand.

The plain speak of the tagline, See life through someone else’s eyes, was designed to ground the drama of the new visual identity. It’s part invitation, part challenge, and a hint at just how transformative live storytelling can be.
